Google Analytics will only work with with websites that have a fully qualified domain name. A fully qualified domain name consists of the domain name and the extension. The following domain would not work with Google Analytics:

localhost
epikone
myintranet

The following will work with Google Analytics

mynetwork.net
localhost.com
epikone.com
