If you are a Google Analytics customer, Google will notify you when a new version of the UTM becomes available.

If you are an Urchin 5 Software customer, UTM updates are released with each new version of the Urchin software. New versions of Urchin Software have historically been released every six to nine months. A good rule of thumb is to always use the UTM that came with your version of Urchin.
