What is the difference between Marketing Referring Source report and E-commerce Referring Sources report? (posted: 8/8/2008)
Although the two reports identify referring source based on utm_term & utm_medium, Google Analytics' Ecommerce reports will only provide those referrals that actually led to a transaction. You can verify this by reviewing the Referral Sources report under Marketing Optimization, and sorting by "Visit" -- the top most results match those on the Ecommerce > Referring Sources report.
