What is Day Parting (Ad Scheduling)?
Day Parting, or Ad Scheduling as it is referred to by Google, is an advanced targeting option that lets you control what days and hours you want campaigns to display. The Ad Scheduling option is located in the campaign settings under Advanced Options. Once you determine when potential customers are searching for your goods, you can elect to only advertise during these key times. This cuts down on unqualified impressions and clicks. You can even take it one step further and test different ads at different times of the day. This helps to determine which ads perform the best during specific times. Whether you use Google Analytics or Google AdWords reporting to determine when people are visiting your website, be aware that it only reports on the activity for your website. It is not industry-wide statistics. Also be conscious of the different time zones!
